James Pointon is currently the Group Senior Vice President - Legal at DP World, a position held since 2023. Previously, Pointon served as Vice President Legal and held several senior legal roles at notable organizations, including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2000 to 2012, where they specialized in corporate law and M&A. Pointon also acted as the Head of Legal for Mergers and Acquisitions at the International Petroleum Investment Company in 2016-2017 and later led legal efforts at CEPSA from 2019 to 2021. They earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Law from the University of Nottingham between 1996 and 1999.
