John Wittig

John Wittig, P.Eng. currently serves as the Director of Engineering and Maintenance at DP World since April 2021. Prior experience includes positions such as Manager of Projects & Shutdowns Delivery at Vale, Manager of Maintenance at Coeur Mining, and Senior Manager Maintenance at Dominion Diamonds Ekati Corporation, where responsibilities included leading a maintenance team of over 400 employees and managing a $200M annual budget. Additionally, John has held various roles at Xstrata Copper, including Maintenance Engineering Superintendent and Project Manager, overseeing significant capital projects and maintenance strategies that enhanced cost and safety performance. Early career experience includes a role at Ontario Hydro as an Industrial Energy Advisor. John holds a degree from the University of Waterloo.
