Gert Calitz

Gert Calitz is a Senior Designer at DRA Global, bringing over 18.5 years of experience in the metallurgical coal industry to tackle complex engineering challenges. Gert holds an N4 Diploma in Instrumentation Technology from Pretoria West Technical College and has completed courses in goal setting and effective communication. Previously, Gert served as a Senior Technician at both Thungela Metallurgical Coal and Anglo American Metallurgical Coal, where they managed budgets, drove continuous improvement, and demonstrated leadership through relieving duties as Technician Superintendent. Gert's technical expertise includes SCADA, PLC programming, fibre optic networking, and fault finding.
