Jonathan Borthwick is an experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on project management and civil engineering. Currently serving as the Lead Project Engineer at DRA Global since October 2021, Jonathan has worked on the Zondereinde WEP project for Northam Platinum, overseeing EPCM activities. Previously, at Iluka Resources, Jonathan held the positions of Project Manager for the Hydro Mining Pilot Plant Trial and Principal Project Engineer, contributing significantly to the Sembehun project in Sierra Leone. Jonathan's earlier roles include Civil and Structural Manager at SENET (Pty) Ltd., Lead Senior Civil and Structural Engineer at WorleyParsons RSA, Partner at Axiom Consulting Engineers, and Technical Director at ILISO Consulting. Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from RAU and a Diploma in Manager's Development from Stellenbosch University.
