Senior Software Engineer at Draft2Digital

Case Schmidt started their work experience in 2003 as a Research Assistant at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. They developed an informational website and conducted research on high electron mobility transistors.

In 2006, Schmidt worked as a Web Developer at Western Washington University, where they developed a web application using Drupal, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and HTML. They also conducted research on front-end web technologies.

From 2007 to 2008, Schmidt worked as a Programming Support Analyst at Western Washington University, developing purpose-specific web applications and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

In 2009, Schmidt joined Moxie Software, Inc. as a Software Development Engineer. They designed and implemented a REST API for content creation and developed smartphone and desktop interfaces using Sencha Touch and ExtJS. They also worked as a Software Developer in Test, developing API unit tests and testing strategies using the Selenium library.

From 2013 to 2016, Schmidt worked as a Software Engineer at Smashwords. They designed and implemented various features, including a daily reports backend and user interface, a book delivery feature, and an author interview feature.

In 2016, Schmidt briefly worked at Northwest Independent Ruby Development (NIRD LLC) as a Senior Software Engineer.

From 2017 to 2022, Schmidt returned to Smashwords as a Senior Software Engineer.

Since 2022, Schmidt has been working as a Senior Software Engineer at Draft2Digital.

Case Schmidt completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University from 2005 to 2008. Before that, from 2002 to 2005, they attended the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, where they pursued a field of study in ECE, but did not attain a specific degree.
