Jamil Ismail

Jamil Ismail is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor, recognized for founding Alamut Capital, a family office established in June 2016. Since then, Ismail has taken on multiple roles in various startups, including serving as an early investor and advisor at Plexor—an AI Workforce developer for retailers—DraftAid, FemTherapeutics Inc., and myNILpay, each utilizing innovative approaches in technology and health. Previously, Ismail held key positions such as CEO of mmHg, a health tech startup acquired by Myant, and Sales and Marketing Leader at Intelliwave Technologies. Jamil Ismail's early career includes senior roles at Honeywell Process Solutions, DataGardens Inc., and Alberta Investment Management Corporation, where extensive experience in sales, investment, and technology was gained. Ismail holds an MBA in Finance from Rice Business and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
