Draftbit
Allen Nelson is currently the Head of Engineering at Draftbit. Allen has also previously worked as a senior software engineer at Narrative Science, a software engineer at KnowledgeHound, and an English teacher at both Mirai School and OP-Net.
Nelson started their career in 2009 as an assistant language teacher at Interac. Allen then transitioned to teaching English full-time at Mirai School in 2012. In 2013, they left Mirai School to join The University of Chicago as a student. The following year, they began working at Narrative Science as a senior software engineer.
Nelson continued working at Narrative Science until 2018 when they left to join KnowledgeHound as a software engineer. Allen worked at KnowledgeHound for two years before joining Draftbit in 2020.
Allen Nelson's educational career began with a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago. Allen then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same school.
