Huiwen Hu

Huiwen Hu, PhD, is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as a Senior Lead Data Science Engineer at DraftKings Inc. since October 2023. Previously, Huiwen worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Petco and as a Manager of Data Scientist III at Chewy, where significant contributions included the development of a productionized pricing engine and an elasticity-based pricing tool, both of which drove substantial revenue growth. Huiwen's expertise extends to cloud environments, model deployment, and analytical communication with executive stakeholders. Prior experience includes roles at North Carolina State University as a Senior Data Scientist and Instructor, as well as a Graduate Research Assistant. Huiwen holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Economics from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Longwood University.
