Ray Yamada

Ray Yamada is currently the Lead Data Science Engineer at DraftKings, where they apply their full-stack data science skills to solve complex business problems through machine learning. Previously, they worked as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and a Machine Learning Scientist II at Wayfair, and they were an NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they made significant discoveries in geostrophic turbulence. Ray has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from New York University, and their earlier experiences include serving as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science and a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on innovative approaches in both data science and national security.
