Chad Troutwine

Co-Founder & Partner at Dragonfire

Chad Troutwine has a long and varied career in business and entertainment. Chad started their own company, Troutwine Group, in 1996. In 2001, they co-founded Veritas Prep, the largest privately held test preparation and graduate school admissions consulting company in the world. In 2002, they started Chad Troutwine Films, producing and investing in 21 films that premiered at prestigious festivals. In 2011, they became a Partner at Freakonomics Media. From 2015 to 2019, they served as Co-Founder and Chairman of Codesmith Engineering and Everydae, respectively. From 2017 to 2020, they were Co-Founder and Partner at Dragonfire. In 2021, they became a Senior Strategic Advisor at Snickerdoodle Labs.

Chad Troutwine obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University, followed by a JD from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Chad then earned an MBA from Yale School of Management and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University.
