Casey Brooks has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Starting in 2003, Casey served as a Cavalry Scout in the 3rd Platoon, Apache Troop, 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment until 2010. Following that, Casey joined the U.S. Army Cyber Command as a Cryptologic Network Warfare Specialist and Cyber Operations Specialist, where they were involved in conducting training for incident responders, counter infiltration, and forensic analysis of compromised hosts and devices. In 2017, Casey transitioned to a role as a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at Capgemini. Currently, Casey works at Dragos, Inc. as a Principal Adversary Hunter, focusing on discovery, adversary hunting, and enhancing threat detection and response against adversary intrusions.
Casey Brooks earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2019. Prior to that, Casey graduated from Judson Senior High School in 2003 with a High School Diploma. Additionally, Casey holds several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) and CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst, obtained in 2018, as well as various certifications from EC-Council and GIAC obtained between 2015 and 2016. Most recently, Casey obtained the GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) certification in 2019.
