Daniel Buentello has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and software engineering. Daniel started their career at MEI Technologies, Inc. as a Network Engineer, where they were responsible for network infrastructure and provided VPN services. Daniel then worked at Alert Logic as a Network Security Analyst and later as a System Security Analyst, where they reviewed anomalous events and provided technical support for customers' network systems. After that, they joined Cimation as a Senior Security Researcher, where they focused on weaponizing devices like the Belkin Wemo. Daniel then worked at Mioty as a Software Engineer, specializing in software development. Following that, they worked at Red Trident Inc as a Senior Vulnerability Researcher. Currently, Daniel is working at Dragos, Inc. in various roles including Principal Reverse Engineer, Principal Industrial Pentester, and previously as a Senior ICS Security Analyst.

Daniel Buentello attended the University of Houston from 2009 to 2013, where they studied Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Aerohive Wireless Professional and CCNA from Cisco in 2012.
