Dragos
Mark Stacey has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Mark is currently the Director of Strategy at Dragos, Inc., where they focus on rapid growth strategies and business optimization. In this role, they manage strategic partnerships with the cyber insurance industry and oversees the creation of a Public Sector subsidiary. Prior to this, Mark worked as the Director of Global Services at Dragos, Inc., where they were responsible for delivering incident response, threat hunting, and adversary research for Industrial Control Systems. Mark also played a key role in building out the company's Global Services portfolio.
In addition to their work at Dragos, Inc., Mark is an Adjunct Professor at Boise State University, where they teach courses on cyber digital and signal intelligence for the Master of Science Cyber Operations and Resilience program.
Before joining Dragos, Inc. and Boise State University, Mark worked as an Advisory Practice Consultant at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. In this role, they provided network and host forensics and malware analysis to support incident response for clients. Mark also conducted research, collaborated with law enforcement and federal agencies, and developed scalable triage capabilities.
Prior to RSA, Mark gained experience as a Cyber Security Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Mark spent seven years there, with four years dedicated to cyber security operations and three years focused on cyber research as a subject matter expert. In their role, Mark worked on various aspects of computer network defense and attack, including intrusion prevention and detection, vulnerability management, and digital forensic investigations.
Mark's early work experience includes an internship as an Associate Scientist at Bechtel Nevada Corporation.
Mark Stacey earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Idaho in 2005. In 2012, they completed a Master's degree in Intelligence and Cyber Forensics from Utica College. In addition to their degrees, Mark holds certifications in CISSP, GCIH, and GSEC from institutions such as the SANS Institute.
