DSL was founded over 50 years ago, at the time we had one course. We have since established three highly esteemed Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, and plan to introduce a new course, Foundation Diploma in Performance in 2025.

We work out of our wonderful Victorian home in Ealing as well as nearby modern studios owned by UWL.  We are proud of our reputation as one of the founding members of the Federation of Drama Schools and leaders in professional actor training.

We became part of the University of West London in 2020 and this has enabled to continue to develop new and exciting opportunities for our trainee actors.
