Chris Salthouse

Distinguished Member Of Technical Staff

Chris Salthouse, Ph.D., currently serves as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Draper since July 2015, leading a team of mixed-signal designers on numerous projects. Prior to this role, Chris co-founded Lumme Inc in September 2014 with Prof. Deepak Ganesan to innovate wearable technology aimed at enhancing human health. From July 2009 to June 2015, Chris was an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where significant contributions included co-founding the Center for Personalized Health Monitoring alongside Jim Watkins and Patty Freedson. Earlier experience includes a Research Fellow position at Massachusetts General Hospital from August 2006 to June 2009, focused on developing advanced imaging instruments, and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 1997 to June 2006. Chris Salthouse holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT, completed in 2006, alongside a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field earned in 2000.
