Dave Bedel

Dave Bedel currently serves as the Group Lead and Principal Member of Technical Staff at Draper, focusing on Hardware Design for Precision Navigation and Timing Systems since May 2023. Prior to this role, Dave was a Senior Principal Engineer at V2X Inc, overseeing mechanical analysis for aerospace and defense applications and advancing analysis methodologies from June 2019 to May 2023. Dave’s extensive experience includes leading the development of electric propulsion systems at Zunum Aero, implementing virtual product development methods at Hill-Rom, and managing a global design team at GE Aviation. With a solid foundation in mechanical design and analysis, Dave has developed expertise in computational simulation across various industries. Educationally, Dave holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics from the University of Cincinnati.
