Emma Steinhardt

Emma Steinhardt is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Draper, leveraging extensive experience in microrobotics and mechanical engineering. With a PhD from Harvard University, Emma's dissertation focused on a robophysical mantis shrimp model to explore biological and synthetic systems. Their research experience includes developing advanced robot models and collaborating with a wide range of teams, from biologists to engineers. Emma completed undergraduate research at MIT, where they created mathematical models for cycling performance and investigated 3D printing technologies in mechanical assembly. Emma has also interned with Booz Allen Hamilton, contributing to the development of multicopter platforms and UAV systems.
