Space Systems MTS II

Fatak Borhani is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as a Space Systems MTS II at Draper since June 2020, where responsibilities include conducting mission-critical analyses for NASA's Artemis II mission. Previously, as a Member of Technical Staff I at Draper, Fatak collaborated with engineers on the Stratolaunch Talon-A supersonic vehicle, integrating Cascaded Kalman Filters for data fusion. Fatak's experience includes a role as a Mechatronics Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, supporting the design and development of actuators for Earth observing satellite missions and leading automated data processing pipeline initiatives. Additionally, as a Research Scholar at the University at Buffalo, Fatak developed algorithms for drone attitude determination in GPS-denied environments. Fatak holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a diploma in Physics & Mathematics from the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents.
