Fred Kautz

Fred Kautz currently serves as the Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Draper, a position held since November 2018. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2015 to 2018, and Director at Berkeley Research Group LLC from 2010 to 2015. Earlier in the career, Fred Kautz held various positions including Principal at Charles River Associates, Senior Manager at Deloitte, and CTO at Kedestra. Kautz's foundational experiences began as Vice President at Deutsche Bank and a Staff Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Lincoln Laboratory, following a tenure as a Senior Engineering Analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency. Educational qualifications include a PhD (ABD) in Computational Systems Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an MS in System Dynamics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an MS in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, and two degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
