Michael Turo

Michael Turo is a highly experienced chemist currently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Draper since March 2021. Previously, Turo held the position of Senior Process Development Chemist at Genalyte, Inc. from April 2019 to March 2021, and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California San Diego from January 2017 to March 2019, focusing on synthesizing new metal oxide materials. Turo's earlier experience includes research roles at Vanderbilt University, where discoveries in ligand coordination with quantum dots were made, and at Berkeley Lab, where collaborative computational models were developed. Turo also conducted undergraduate research at Villanova University and interned at SI Group, optimizing monomer synthesis.
