Phil Hattis

Phil Hattis is a Laboratory Fellow at Draper, where they have held this prestigious position since 1974. They are responsible for a variety of projects in guidance, navigation, and control systems, contributing to significant advancements in space and aerial technology. Phil has served on the AIAA Board of Directors from 1999 to 2010 and was a member of the NASA Technology Roadmap Review Steering Committee from 2011 to 2012. They have also contributed to the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board from 2011 to 2015 and led technical efforts in areas such as climate change monitoring and spacecraft systems. Phil holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, Aeronautics from Caltech, and a PhD in Aero/Astro from MIT.
