Roberto Acosta currently serves as a Staff Engineer at Draper since October 2019. Prior to this role, Roberto worked at BAE from June 2003 to October 2019 as a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the architecture of infrared imaging modules and developing an advanced VGA low-power imaging module for various applications. Earlier experience includes a position as a Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Avici Systems from November 1999 to September 2002, focusing on Gigabit Ethernet design and leading the transmit side of the first GigE design. Roberto's career began at Sanders, A Lockheed-Martin Company, working as a Hardware Engineer from June 1996 to November 1999, specializing in instrumentation hardware for space systems. Roberto holds a Master of Science in Systems Design and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and two degrees from the University of New Hampshire, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on DSP & Control Theory and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, concentrating on Computer Architecture & Systems Design.
