Thordarson

Paul Thordarson is a highly experienced technical professional with a focus on embedded systems and software development. Currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Draper Laboratory since March 2003, Thordarson specializes in FPGA and bare metal embedded real-time software applications using primarily Rust and C/C++. Previously, as CTO at Promontory Software Technology, Thordarson was instrumental in defining the architecture for a complex enterprise software application. Thordarson also held key roles at Brooks Automation, where responsibilities included technology management and transitioning products to standard-based frameworks, and founded Applied System Concepts, Inc., providing system architecture consulting services. Other notable experiences include working as a Senior Software Engineer at Contrex, Inc. and Digital Equipment Corporation, contributing to advancements in semiconductor inspection applications and operating system enhancements. Thordarson holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University, respectively.
