William Rice is a highly experienced physicist currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Draper since July 2020. Prior to this role, William was an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming from August 2015 to July 2020, where research concentrated on novel behaviors in low-dimensional semiconductors and metals, specifically exploring the interactions between magnetism, optics, and highly-confined wavefunctions. William's earlier experiences include a post-doctoral fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on optically induced and emergent magnetic phenomena, and a graduate career at Rice University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Physics. William earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Brown University.
