Michael Penza

Michael Penza has worked in the technology industry for over 20 years. Michael began their career in 1996 as a Software Engineer at Alstom Transport (formerly General Railway Signal). In 1999, they joined RailComm as a Senior Systems Engineer and was promoted to Director of Software Engineering in 2001. Michael then became Vice President of Software Engineering in 2006 and Vice President of Research and Development: Software Systems in 2008. In 2014, they co-founded 29 Labs and in 2016 they co-founded DraughtLab.

Michael Penza obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology between the years of 1994 and 2002. Michael then went on to obtain their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution between the years of 2010 and 2011. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: a 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in Construction Safety and Health from OSHA in June 2012, a CSX Roadway Worker Protection Facilitator from Roadway Worker Training in February 2013, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program from the American Heart Association.
