Ashkan R.

Ashkan R. has a diverse work experience in investment and corporate development roles. Ashkan is currently working as the Head of Biomass Investments at Drax Group. Prior to that, they were an Investment Director at Ansor LLP. From 2018 to 2022, Ashkan served as the Head of Group Corporate Development & Strategy at Woodbois Limited, where they were responsible for monitoring the competitive landscape, developing strategic priorities, managing investments, and analyzing ROI. Ashkan also worked as an Associate Director in M&A/Principal Investments at Griffon Capital from 2016 to 2018. Before that, Ashkan was an Investment Executive in the Private Equity team at British International Investment, where they were heavily involved in direct equity investments in companies in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Ashkan also served as a Board Observer at Miro Forestry and Timber Products and Feronia Inc. Furthermore, Ashkan gained experience in investment banking at Renaissance Capital from 2011 to 2013.

Ashkan R. attended Durham University from 2007 to 2010 and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Economics.
