Chess Boughey

Chess Boughey is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, data analysis, and project management. Currently employed at Drax Group since November 2021, Chess works on various machine learning projects utilizing Python, contributing comprehensively through all project phases. Previously, roles included data scientist at DWP Digital, focusing on enhancing digital services, and self-employed as a tutor and musician. Chess has also held positions such as S2DS Fellow at Pivigo, freelance data scientist at King's College London, and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, where a research project on nanowire-based pressure sensors culminated in published findings. Chess co-founded MU INNOVATIONS LTD, a biotechnology start-up, and possesses a PhD in Nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge, along with an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London and training at The Royal Ballet School.
