Chris Mead

Chris Mead, FCIPD, is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the utility and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Head of HR Business Partners for Commercial at Drax Group since 2020, Chris has previously held significant positions including Director of HR at Cadent Gas Limited and Lead HR Business Partner at National Grid. Notable contributions include the formation and leadership of the HR function during Cadent's establishment, as well as supporting global transformation programs in IT at National Grid. Additionally, Chris has served as a Non-Executive Director at Wellonomics, focusing on employee wellbeing strategies. Chris holds a BA in Geography and History from the University of Birmingham and has pursued further education at London Business School.
