Chris Simpson

Chris Simpson is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investor relations and financial reporting. Currently serving as the Investor Relations Manager at Drax Group since July 2020, Chris plays a key role in enhancing investor engagement and communicating the Group's investment case. Prior positions include Head of Financial Reporting and Senior Finance Manager, focusing on accurate financial information and accounting projects. Previously, Chris held the position of Group Financial Controller at Tekmar, overseeing day-to-day finance operations, and served as Financial Controller at ilke Homes and in various roles at Northgate Plc, progressing from Group Financial Accountant to UK Head of Financial Reporting and Planning. Chris began a career at PwC, specializing in risk assurance and internal audit. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Mathematics with Management from Newcastle University, A levels in Maths, Psychology, and Religious Education, and GCSEs from Hetton School.
