John Boot

John Boot currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at Drax Group, a position held since January 2022. Prior to this, John was the Chief Information Officer at Yutime Petroleum Company Ltd., where leadership focused on developing advanced systems for a petrochemical plant, including a private 5G network and AI control. John's extensive experience also includes roles as the Head of Solutions Engineering at GE and Head of Solutions at Avitas Systems, emphasizing innovative AI and robotics applications in industrial sectors. Earlier in his career, John held various leadership positions at Motorola, including Director of Research and Development, where strategic IT initiatives were implemented, and contributed to the enhancement of technology applications across multiple European locations. John's educational background includes a Master's degree in Information Systems from Anglia Ruskin University and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University.
