Jonathan Oates

Jonathan Oates is an experienced communications and external affairs leader with a diverse background spanning various industries. Currently serving as the Group Director of External Affairs at Drax Group since May 2021, Jonathan oversees global Government Affairs, Policy, Media, Digital, and Community teams. Previous roles include Corporate Affairs Director at London Stansted Airport, where responsibility encompassed brand, reputation, and culture management, and External Communications Director at MAG, enhancing the airports' visibility among stakeholders. Jonathan's earlier experience includes managing director positions at Red Consultancy, strategic communications at Betfair, and media relations at SABMiller.
