Luke Varley

Luke Varley has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Luke started their career as an Apprentice at National Power in 1998 and then worked as a Mechanical Fitter at Ferrybridge Workshops. Luke joined Ferrybridge TSG Workshops and held various roles including Advanced Craftsman, Turbine Technical Engineer, and Production Turbine Engineer. At SSE plc, they worked as a Rotating Plant Engineer, handling asset management activities for steam and gas turbines. Currently, they are with Drax Group, where they have held positions such as Lead Engineer, Section Head of the Turbine Team, and Engineering Manager. Luke'sexperience includes managing teams, coordinating projects, and providing technical solutions for power plant components.

Luke Varley attended Brigshaw High School, although no specific years were provided for their time there. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Bradford from 2011 to 2013.
