Mark Gibbens

Mark Gibbens has over 20 years of work experience in the energy industry. Mark began their career at National Power in 1998 as a Gas Operations Co-ordinator. Mark later became a Power and Gas Shift Trader and then a NETA Implementation Team Leader. In 2001, they joined Innogy as a Consumption Desk Team Leader. In 2003, they moved to RWE Trading as a Fuel Manager and stayed there until 2013. Currently, they work at Drax Group as the Head of Logistics since January 2019. Before that, they held positions such as Production & Commercial Optimisation Lead and Commercial Manager - Logistics.

Mark Gibbens attended Faringdon from 1988 to 1993 and obtained their GCSEs in various subjects including Maths, English Literature, English Language, Geography, History, French, German, and two awards in Science and Design Technology. From 1993 to 1995, they attended King Alfred's VI Form, focusing on Geography, History, and Mathematics for their A Levels. Finally, from 1995 to 1998, Mark completed a BSc in Geography at Durham University.
