Earlier work includes leading non-domestic regulation at British Gas, strategic initiatives at Evolve Analytics, and strategy consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in regulatory issues across the energy sector. Matthew began a career at Ofgem, focusing on network regulation and policy, and also had sales responsibilities at BizzEnergy Ltd. Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Leeds.
