Richard Carr

Richard Carr possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Steam Generation Team Manager at Drax Group since June 2018, where responsibilities include delivering technical advice to ensure plant performance and managing outages effectively. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Outage/Engineering Manager at Veolia UK from May 2015 to May 2018, overseeing mechanical outage projects and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Earlier roles include work at SSE plc as an AUO and a Mechanical Fitter at Mitsui Babcock, focusing on maintenance and repair of power stations. Richard holds an ONC/HNC in Plant Process and Operations from Wakefield College and is currently pursuing further education at the University of Exeter.
