Richard Gow

Richard Gow is the Head of Policy at Drax Group, specializing in energy policy and regulation with a focus on renewable and low-carbon energy production. With expertise encompassing energy security, bioenergy with carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, and electric vehicles, Richard has developed a deep understanding of the policy development process and maintains a robust network within government departments. Previously, as a Senior Government Policy Manager, Richard facilitated key commercial wins, including negotiations to extend the life of generation units and mitigations in electricity levy design. Richard's experience also includes roles at LoCO2 Energy and Sainsbury's, and active participation in industry working groups and forums for emerging energy leaders. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Sussex and a Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Bristol.
