Stuart Cotten currently serves as the Group Regulation and Compliance Director at Drax Group, leading a team that supports various business units in areas such as regulatory influencing, industry governance, market trading compliance, business ethics, data protection, and biomass sustainability compliance. Previously, Stuart held multiple roles at ELEXON from 2010 to 2020, including contributions as an elected member of the Balancing & Settlement Code Panel, overseeing the governance of electricity settlement arrangements. Prior to that, Stuart worked at PX Group as an Energy Trading Coordinator, managing commercial agreements and trading operations. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from The University of Salford, completed in 2001.
