Tom Henderson

Tom Henderson is an experienced engineer with a strong background in power generation and project management. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Drax Group since February 2019, Tom has developed the operational and maintenance strategy for the integration of the BECCS plant and focused on creating commercial opportunities for combustion by-products. Prior roles at Drax included Mechanical Engineer in the Combustion & Fuels Team and Project Manager, where impactful multidisciplinary projects were executed. Previously, Tom held positions at EDF Energy as Equipment Reliability Engineer and Maintenance Technician, addressing reliability issues and performing routine maintenance in a power station. Tom began the career at Tata Steel as Turbine Maintenance Team Leader and Mechanical Craftsman. Tom holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Lincoln and multiple engineering degrees from Sheffield Hallam University.
