Moira Simpson

Moira Simpson is a seasoned professional in climate resilience and disaster management, currently serving as the Global Climate Resilience and Adaptation Advisor for the Danish Refugee Council since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Resilience Programme Specialist (consultant) at the World Food Programme, Head of Climate Crisis and Natural Resource Management at International Alert, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Adviser at Plan International UK. Moira has also held positions with GOAL Global, COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale, and multiple roles within the World Food Programme, showcasing a strong background in program coordination and disaster risk reduction. Moira holds a Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Political Science from the University of Windsor.
