DRCC

Established in 1966, Duluth Regional Care Center (DRCC) is a distinguished non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities. Our roots stem from a visionary group of concerned parents and professionals who recognized the pressing need for community programs in an era when such resources were scarce. With unwavering commitment and invaluable support from St. Louis County Social Services, as well as generous contributions from ARC Duluth, the Ordean Foundation, the Junior League of Duluth, and the Rotary Club, we proudly inaugurated Baldwin House in late 1971, ushering in a new era of care and support. Over the years, DRCC has evolved, adapting to changing terminology and processes, yet our foundational belief endures: every individual, regardless of ability, deserves a nurturing home, meaningful relationships, fulfilling employment, and the autonomy to shape their own destiny. Today, DRCC extends its reach to over 400 individuals across northeastern Minnesota, offering a range of living arrangements, including individual homes, apartments, and small group residences. Our dedicated staff is committed to empowering individuals to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Mission Statement: To support individuals with disabilities by creating opportunities to live rich and meaningful lives with family, friends, work and community.
