Nick Barlow serves as the Executive Director of Transformation at DrDoctor since September 2023, where responsibilities include leading onsite transformation teams to enhance NHS patient-facing technology and co-designing care models with frontline clinicians. Previously, Nick was the Chief Digital Transformation Officer at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust from January 2020 to August 2023, focusing on implementing AI and digital technologies to improve patient outcomes. Nick also held the position of Director of Applied Digital Healthcare for a brief period before taking a sabbatical to care for his two daughters. From July 2008 to July 2019, Nick was a Partner at Newton Europe, leading health and social care initiatives to enhance service quality in collaboration with NHS and local authorities. Earlier career experience includes working as a Simulator Development Engineer at McLaren Racing from 2005 to 2008. Nick earned a Master's Degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford and a Master's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
