Frederick Porter, M.S., is currently the STEM Academic Dean at DREAM Charter School in Harlem, N.Y., where they coach Middle School Math and Science teachers. With over 10 years of experience in education, they have served as a teacher, coach, and school leader in Miami and New York, focusing on elevating student achievement and fostering teacher excellence. Previously, Frederick was recognized with the 2017 American Hero Award and named one of Legacy Magazine Miami’s Top Black Educators of 2021. They also participated as a Senior Site Director for Breakthrough Miami and are a fellow with the National Fellowship of Black and Latino Male Educators. Frederick holds a Master of Arts from Florida International University and is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
