Amit Sharma

Amit Sharma is the current Chief Technology Officer at Dream11. Prior to their current position, Amit Sharma served as an engineering leader at Netflix from August 2011 to October 2016. At Netflix, Amit Sharma was responsible for developing and maintaining foundation ETL data mining systems. Amit also oversaw the migration of all legacy distributed systems to the Grid using HADOOP as the Cloud Computing Platform. In addition, Amit Sharma worked closely with the web server, instrumentation, data aggregation, and business analyst teams. Amit also developed systems that fed into revenue data pipelines, like behavioral targeting and advertising systems.

Before joining Netflix, Amit Sharma worked as an engineer at Yahoo! Inc from April 2007 to August 2011. At Yahoo!, Amit Sharma was responsible for developing and maintaining foundation ETL data mining systems. Amit also oversaw the migration of all legacy distributed systems to the Grid using HADOOP as the Cloud Computing Platform. In addition, Amit Sharma worked closely with the web server, instrumentation, data aggregation, and business analyst teams. Amit Sharma began their career as a SAP Consultant at L&T Infotech from August 2003 to December 2004.

Amit Sharma has an MBA from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, a Master of Science in Computer Information Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from Mumbai University.
