Scott McGhee

Scott McGhee has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Scott started their career as a Software Engineer at Intel, where they held multiple internships before working full time. At Intel, they primarily focused on server management software and was involved in testing, writing utilities, and system setup.

After their time at Intel, Scott McGhee worked at Opticon USA, where they held various positions including Software Engineer, Development Manager, Engineering Manager, and Product Development Manager. In these roles, they managed software development projects, provided technical support, and fostered collaboration between different technical groups. Scott also contributed to the company's IT support and played a role in company growth initiatives.

Scott McGhee then joined ClipCard as the Director of Field Services, where they initially planned to lead a customer support organization but ended up leading a DevOps effort as the company pivoted. Scott was responsible for managing the DevOps team and played a key role in the company's transition.

In their next role at System1 (formerly OpenMail), Scott McGhee served as the Manager of Cloud Engineering. Scott led a team of DevOps professionals and was in charge of managing cloud infrastructure to support System1's SEM sites and services.

Following their time at System1, Scott McGhee worked at Fluke Corporation as a Software Engineering Manager, responsible for leading software engineering projects.

Most recently, Scott McGhee joined DreamBox Learning as the Director of SRE. Here, they oversee the Site Reliability Engineering team, ensuring the stability and reliability of the company's systems.

Outside of their professional experience, Scott McGhee also started their own company called bars_and_spaces, specializing in software development and support services for embedded systems.
