Rahama Wright

Rahama Wright is the Chief Executive Officer of Shea Yeleen, a company focused on marketing and distributing high-quality unrefined shea butter produced by women's cooperatives in West Africa, emphasizing fair-trade and ethical production. Wright has established community partnerships in Ghana that support women's shea butter production and job creation. Additionally, as an Executive Member of Dreamers & Doers, Wright amplifies the entrepreneurial pursuits of women through resource exchange and collective support. In collaboration with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Partnerships, Wright serves as a trainer and speaker, organizing workshops for women and youth in entrepreneurial development. Previous experience includes roles at Georgetown University and the U.S. African Development Foundation, where Wright managed budgets, provided program support, and contributed to project development. Wright holds a BA from SUNY Geneseo.
