When vintage hipster David Wilson draws the bow across the strings of his violin people stop what they are doing and listen. Riffs are warm, smooth, and often understated. Every note communicates earnestness and intimacy as the melodies take wing – transporting the listener with a gliding ease rarely heard on the violin.

David was a favorite with musical entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Gene Kelly, Bob Dylan, and Herb Alpert. His expressive artistry with popular songs also enchanted Henry Mancini who, upon hearing David, asked David to record on two projects with him. 

A short time later Swallowtail Records discovered the broad appeal of his music and offered him a contract. Subsequently Swallowtail Records has released eight of David's albums. Sales now exceed 155,000 units.
   
David's albums from the Swallowtail catalog feature jazz standards by Gershwin, Porter, Mancini, and the like. Seeking to enlarge his musical realm, he and his producer Benedikt Brydern ventured into the genre of Latin music. The resulting creation was the "Elegancia" on Brydern's ConSordino Music label.
  
Now complementing "Elegancia" is David’s latest release "Nobody Does It Better". Here he takes on the great ballads of  the 60's and 70's - classics by the Bee Gees, the Beatles, Carly Simon, Roberta Flack, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Christopher Cross, Lionel Ritchie, and Bread. These songs of love and heartbreak touched many a young hearts in that exciting era. David felt they were especially well suited for his unique interpretations on violin.

Now after eight months of careful production, "Nobody Does It Better” has his fans dancing in the kitchen and loving the one they're with.
