Alex Merced is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in developer relations, technical evangelism, and full-stack development. Currently serving as the Head of DevRel at Dremio since December 2021, Alex is responsible for leading the DevRel function, creating content, and speaking at events, achieving recognition as the inaugural winner of the CEO Award in 2025. Previous roles include Senior Tech Evangelist, Developer Advocate at CampusGuard, and Technical Writer at LogRocket. Alex also founded Merliva LLC, focusing on marketing consulting and coaching, and has a diverse background in training and development in the financial industry. Alex holds a degree in Popular Culture/Marketing from Bowling Green State University and completed a Software Engineering Immersive program at General Assembly.
