Steven Phillips is an experienced software architect and engineering manager currently at Dremio since August 2015, contributing to the innovative Data-as-a-Service Platform. Prior to his role at Dremio, Steven was a staff software engineer at MapR Technologies from June 2011 to August 2015, where involvement included contributions to the Apache Drill project. Steven has also been active with The Apache Software Foundation as a PMC and committer for both Apache Drill and Apache Arrow since June 2014. Educationally, Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
