Jared McPhail

Jared McPhail has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jared started their career as a Forest Project Summer Intern at Wave Hill in 2011, where they worked on restoring forests and improving trails. In 2012, they became a Forest Project Summer Collaborative Senior Intern at the same organization, focusing on data gathering and Geographic Information Systems.

In 2015, Jared worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, conducting research in a laboratory setting. Jared continued their research work in 2016 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Clemson University.

Jared joined Emerald Cloud Lab in 2018 as a Lab Operator I-III. Jared handled various analytical chemistry instruments and followed strict safety protocols. Jared was then promoted to Assistant Shift Manager, where they specialized in lab and instrumentation triage, acted as a knowledge base for resolving common issues, and mentored less experienced employees.

From 2021 to 2023, Jared served as a Laboratory Operations Manager at Emerald Cloud Lab, leading a team of research specialists. Jared played a key role in expanding the workforce and developed a training program for employees with limited lab experience.

Currently, Jared is working as a Lab Manager at Dren Bio, Inc. since March 2023.

Jared McPhail earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Carnegie Mellon University. Jared attended this university from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, Jared completed their high school education at DeWitt Clinton Highschool, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2009 to 2013.
