John Donahue PMP has a diverse work experience in various industries. John started their career as an Aircraft Mechanic at Mid Pacific Air from 1988 to 1990. After that, they served in the United States Air Force for over two decades, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. In their role as Assistant Director of Squadron Operations, they ensured the execution of policies and procedures at Charleston AFB.

Following their military service, Donahue worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Trident Technical College for a brief period in 2012. John then joined Delaware Resource Group as a C-17 Pilot Instructor, where they trained international students from the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. John also utilized their skills as an Airframe & Powerplant certified mechanic and demonstrated proficiency in cockpit resource management.

In 2013, Donahue joined Life Cycle Engineering as a Project Manager. In this role, they led a team of subject matter experts and Quality Assurance professionals to provide process expertise and software development for government contracts. John was responsible for testing software for the Veteran's healthcare management enterprise and ensuring the delivery of certified software for the Veteran's Administration. Donahue received praise from clients for their decisions on priorities, business value, and functional requirements. John also worked collaboratively with Agile teams, planned and led usability tests, and reviewed quality assurance tests.

In 2016, Donahue transitioned to ExpressJet Airlines as a First Officer before moving to PSA Airlines, Inc. as a First Officer in 2017. John concluded their aviation career as an Instructor Pilot at Delaware Resource Group, starting in 2018.

John Donahue PMP obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Technology from Purdue University, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. John later pursued an MBA in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Touro University, attending from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they completed the course "Communicating Across Cultures" offered by LinkedIn in July 2019. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2014. John also holds the Airline Transport Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), obtained in December 2016, and the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certification from Purdue University, obtained in June 1990. John attended the US Army Command and General Staff College from 2004 to 2005, but no degree was listed for this period.
